Something new

Dieses Jahr sind wir sehr spät dran mit unserem Baum, normalerweise stellen wir ihn am 13. auf, nach schottischem Brauch. Die Amerikaner stellen ihre Weihnachtsbäume allerdings schon viel früher auf und so mussten wir eine Weile suchen, bis wir überhaupt noch einen gefunden haben. In einem Baumarkt gab es ein paar Bäume, die waren so trocken, dass sie regelrecht brandgefährlich waren... Aber unser Bäumchen steht jetzt, Scott hatte Spaß beim Schmücken, und das ganze Zimmer duftet nach Tanne, herrlich!
We are late in putting our Christmas tree up this year, it is normally up on the 13th because my husband is Scottish, and in Scotland the tree gets put up 12 days before Christmas and it comes down 12 days after Christmas. However, over here they put their trees up just after Thanksgiving so we had a job finding a nice tree. Went to a store where they had a few trees left - but they were so dry that we thought they were a fire hazard! Oh well, we found a nice one at last, Scott had fun decorating it and now the whole room smells of pine, so lovely!


Ein längeres Stickprojekt ist beendet und ein neues habe ich bereits angefangen. Na, wisst Ihr, was das wird? :D
On the stitching front I can show you a new start. Can you guess what it is? I can give you a hint - it is going to be a big project. A BIG project in fact. ;)
